PRAR Committees and their Functions
Piedmont Regional Association of REALTORS® success depends on Member Involvement. Get Involved and Join a Committee that meets your passion and area of interest around your career field. Time commitment for most committees is 1 hour a month or less. Getting involved is a step in building your leadership skills and resume as well. Come have fun with us today and build your network!

Community Service
Designs and implements programs, which encourage membership involvement in the community. Promoting the national celebration of home ownership and private property rights.
CHAIR: Darlene Hinman
Programs & Membership
Plan and coordinate membership meetings and Social Events. Recommend to the PRAR Board of Directors meeting menus and guest speakers. Responsible for recruiting and retention of membership.
Affiliate's Liaison
Provides a communication vehicle for REALTOR®, Affiliate Members. Responsible for recommendations to the PRAR Board of Directors for educational programs, ideas of common interest and services.
RPAC
Sets goals, plans and implements programs designed to collect funds used in the support of campaigns for candidates running for state and national political office. Plans and conducts educational programs to enlighten membership as to the meaning and importance of RPAC.

Issues / Mobilization
Responsible for attending local/county/school board meetings, and reporting any issues that might impact our industry. Work with Brokers to mobilize members to action an issue when requested by the Board of Directors.
Fair Housing / DEI
- Fair Housing Promotes education and the understanding of Fair Housing Law to the members.
- DEI Promote fairness, equal opportunity, and integrity in real estate when you utilize Fairhaven, NAR’s new anti-discrimination training simulation for REALTORS®
CHAIR: Christina Geis
Legislative
Establishes programs to keep Association members informed of Local, State, and National Government activities which might affect the industry.
CHAIR: Bill Jordan
Mediation
Matters relating to arbitration, attempts to resolve controversy, promotes amicable resolutions, and reduces the number of cases requiring arbitration procedures of the Association.
Mediators: Colleen Coesens, Candace Thompson, and Michael Lewis
Finance
Responsible for reviewing Budget and all Finances of PRAR. Will make recommendations to the Board of Directors on Budget and Investments regarding PRAR Finances.
YPN
YPN helps young real estate professionals excel in their careers by giving them the tools and encouragement to become involved in four core areas: REALTOR Associations, Real Estate Industry, Peers, Community.
